Successful land sale will pave the way for new growth in the community. New restaurants, a waterfront district, and brand-new amenities are on the way.

Tennessee National Resort Community has seen significant changes already in 2021, with many more exciting developments in our gorgeous 1,466 square foot community currently underway. On Saturday, May 15th, we held a wildly successful property release. Despite the closure of I-40 that delayed many, hundreds of excited people came out and toured the property, falling in love with Tennessee National just as much as we have.

Today, we wanted to share the latest Tennessee National news and fill you in on some exciting new projects.

1. New residents coming soon!

Homes on the water

We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to our property release and the positive feedback from visitors and residents. We couldn’t have wished for a better day to showcase how amazing it is to live at the lake.

We nearly sold out of our initial selection of lots, with a total of 81 lots sold. If you didn’t know, previously, the property had 93 homes and 250 sold lots since the community began in 2006. Our sale represents a 33% increase in property ownership. New residents are coming from all over the US, including California, Illinois, Michigan, and many local areas. Our Tennessee National custom homes team will be working with many new owners who are excited to build their dream homes and make the move to Tennessee National.

Because of the high level of interest, we have decided to open two additional sections of property this year, including new lakefront lots to meet the growing needs in the community.

2. More outdoor fun than ever before

Fleet of new boats

We love hearing stories about what residents love about Tennessee National. People often share how much they love the golf course, walking the more than 10 miles of hiking trails, and spending time out on Watts Bar Lake.

You now have even more opportunities to enjoy the outdoors than ever before. As lake lovers ourselves, it was important that we provide opportunities for residents and guests to get out and enjoy the lake. We have purchased a brand new fleet of pontoon boats that have arrived and are available for rent at the marina. Come by and say hello to our new marina manager, Carly-Grace, and schedule a day to take one out with your friends and family.

Did you make it to the concert at the Tennessee National Amphitheater? On Saturday night after the property release, we held our first Waves on the Water concert benefiting The Love Anchors Fund. The Love Anchors Fund is an organization started by country music singer, Anita Cochran, and supports breast cancer research and aid charities for those affected by the disease. Terri Clark, Anita Cochran, Brandy Clark, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Jamie O’Neal, and newcomer Emily Brooke performed a lakeside concert at our event venue.

The Waves on the Water event kicked off our new outdoor summer concert series, which continues June 12 at our sister property in Middle Tennessee, Twin Creeks. The June 12th event will start at 7:00pm CT at The Honeysuckle, our open-air event venue at Twin Creeks. Anita Cochran will host and perform at the event, along with performances by Thompson Square and Jarrod Niemann. Check out the official Waves on the Water website and be sure to follow our new Tennessee National Resort Facebook or Instagram for announcements and details about future events coming to our communities in Middle and East Tennessee. We have a lot of things planned this summer!

3. New resort-level amenities

Resort Dining

What’s resort living without stellar amenities you can easily get to by golf cart? We’ve already begun upgrading the golf course and community grounds, and have just finished a complete makeover of our private restaurant. Now known as Silos, the restaurant features brand new furniture indoor and out, state-of-the-art kitchen equipment, a new manager, Ian Fitzgerald, and a totally revamped menu. Stop by for dinner or come watch the sunset with a glass of wine while enjoying the natural beauty of our stunning community.

We are also in the design phase of a new clubhouse and event venue, a waterfront restaurant that will be accessible by land and by boat, a spa and wellness center, complete with spa treatments and salon services, and the building of two additional community pools. More to come in the future as designs are finished and the projects move into the building phase.

4. New Marina District

One of our most exciting announcements to share is that we’re in the beginning stages of planning a new Tennessee National Marina District. With 3.5 miles of lakefront shoreline, there is so much opportunity for new lakefront homes as well as a new commercial, residential, and entertainment hub at the lake. The marina district will be home to lakeside restaurants, townhomes, villas, and shops, in addition to the brand new marina currently being planned.

There is so much happening at Tennessee National, and we know you are as excited as we are! For more information or to schedule your visit, check out our brand new website tennesseenational.com or follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
