Since last year, Tennessee National has invested significantly into renovating and upgrading amenities while continuously adding new offerings.

Tennessee National, the premier lake and golf community in East Tennessee, has been hard at work upgrading the resort amenities for residents and members. As you might have heard, Tennessee National was purchased in January of this year. Since then, the development team has made significant investments in improving the community grounds, golf course, and clubhouse.

And, with new resort amenities being announced all the time, Tennessee National is quickly becoming the go-to resort community for anyone looking to upgrade their lifestyle. Read on for seven new amenities that are now or will soon be available for members and residents.

1. Upgraded golf course

Beautiful Golf Course

The Greg Norman Signature Golf Course is a major draw for anyone considering relocating to East Tennessee. Named one of the top ten courses in Tennessee, this golf course is a hidden gem that provides enjoyment for all skill levels. Since January, the company has invested significantly into upgrading the grounds, fairway bunkers, and greens. This included purchasing new equipment and hiring additional staff to work on restoring and upgrading the course and grounds. These beautification projects will continue into the fall and include rebuilding several fairway bunkers on the front and back nine.

2. Renovated clubhouse

Inside of Silos

Besides the golf course, one of the first Tennessee National amenities that needed updating was the clubhouse. The onsite restaurant, now named Silos, received a major facelift. New kitchen equipment, furniture, and a revamped menu make Silos a terrific place to spend time after a day on the course.

This fall, members and residents are invited to Silos for various special events and live music experiences. Live music on the Silos patio and lawn, tailgating parties for UT football, golf tournaments and accompanying dinners, daily happy hour, and wine specials make Silos the place to be this season. Follow the Tennessee National Golf Facebook or Instagram accounts for information on specials and experiences.

Upcoming events include:

  • Sunday Brunches
  • Weekly trivia nights
  • Wine pairing dinners
  • Live music events
  • Golf clinics

3. State-of-the-art pontoon boats

This year, another new amenity to come to Tennessee National was a brand new fleet of rentable pontoon boats, a Grand Island Double Decker pontoon boat with a second-level water slide, and tubes to make time on the lake even more enjoyable.

Each boat can seat up to 10 passengers and provides a Bimini covering for shade throughout the day. They come fully stocked with life jackets, anchors, maps, a Bluetooth speaker, and Silos menus for quick meals and snacks that can be delivered to you at the marina for your convenience.

4. Sunset Saloon and Ultimate Driving Range Golf

This past fall welcomed the opening of the Sunset Saloon and Ultimate Driving Range, powered by Toptracer Range. This new addition to Tennessee National offers a full service bar, with craft beer selections only available at the Sunset Saloon. Members and their families can order their favorites from Silos or come for one of our culinary special events. Feedback about this new venue has been fantastic, and it's quickly become a favorite spot for families and private parties.

While at the Sunset Saloon, members can play virtual golf in one of the driving range bays. A wide range of games and virtual courses will be available to play, including some of the most famous courses in the world. This new technology experience will provide members with a unique and exciting experience without leaving their home club. Plus, it has a smoke-free sports lounge with satellite television and free Wi-Fi.

5. Community Fire Pits

Fire at sunset

At Tennessee National, we believe in making memories daily. New fire pits and Adirondack chairs have been placed at the Sunset Saloon, in addition to the existing lakeside fire pits at Tennessee National Marina. Relax with friends near the action with easy access to the range, cornhole, and the bar.

6. Pickleball

Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the United States, and it's coming to Tennessee National! Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis by using paddles, a small wiffle ball made of hard plastic coated with rubber or plastic resin, and a net. It's terrific for people of all ages and skill levels.

Tennessee National members and guests can play on the courts or relax with a cold beverage and view the action from the comfort of a nearby covered viewing pavilion.

7. Caddyshack Coffee Shop

Relax with Coffee

One of the most recent amenities to be announced is Caddyshack - the resort's first coffee shop, where you can sip your way through an elevated menu of handcrafted coffee brews. Nestled beside Silos and near the eleventh hole, Caddyshack will be a welcome addition to the community. What a way to wake up and smell the coffee!

As you can see, there are many new and exciting things happening at Tennessee National. The team will be announcing more new amenities and offerings very soon.
